Semi-dry process

SemiSecoLAB™ is a semi-dry process consisting in removal of acid pollutants by atomizing a reagent (usually lime slurry from quick or hydrated lime) into the gas stream.

It is combined with an injection of activated carbon / coke or HOK for removal of heavy metals (mercury) and dioxins/furans.

The dusts and salts resulting from the neutralization reaction are captured in a fabric filter.

For higher performances, it can be completed by dry injection lime upstream the fabric filter, so called a "3/4th dry system"
